Evocative of an elegant, old-style Hawaiian plantation home, the serene space is a 6,000-square-foot jewel, located just beyond the shimmering pool, that has been redesigned to offer guests improved amenities in a beautiful, tranquil environment.

The Manele Bay Hotel spa design sets an elegant yet simple tone, a place where pampered guests leave feeling relaxed and renewed. They will experience the beauty and healing powers of Hawaii at every turn, from the surroundings to the treatments and caring staff.

The spa's décor combines soothing, earth-tone color palettes and natural materials punctuated by a brilliantly colored, tropically-inspired wall mural depicting lush island flora, fauna and an ocean horizon by artist John Wullbrandt. This stunning artwork greets guests in the reception area, which also features traditional Hawaiian koa-wood and wicker furniture.

Design details include extensive use of richly grained wood trim, columns and finely crafted wood doors, and bamboo flooring throughout with natural stone floors in wet areas. Luxury stone such as granite and marble grace countertops, backsplashes and steam rooms.

The Grounds

Upon arrival you will immediately sense you have left the ordinary world behind. Your pampering begins the moment you arrive, when you are greeted with a lei of freshly gathered flowers.

The blue Pacific spilling onto pearl-white sands. Courtyard gardens, perfumed by the heavy scent of tropical blossoms. A koi pond strewn with blushing lotus flowers, and gentle waterfalls washing over black lava rock ... you have arrived in paradise.

The Spa

The Spa at Manele Bay offers guests a full menu of rejuvenating massages, scrubs, wraps, facials, hair and nail services. There are 6 indoor private massage rooms, 4 outdoor garden and ocean-view private massage areas, 2 facial rooms, 2 manicure stations, 2 pedicure thrones, 2 hair salon chairs, men's and women's lockers and changing rooms, and a relaxation lounge. Taking advantage of Hawaii's gloriously balmy weather, gym and fitness activities--hydratone aquatics and coastal trail hikes--are enjoyed alfresco.

Treatment Types

Ali’i Banana Coconut Scrub - Bananas and Coconut-coveted tropical fruits once reserved for Hawaiian royalty-are blended with sea salt to exfoliate and revitalize the skin.

Pineapple Citrus Polish - The natural enzymes in Pineapple exfoliate the skin and leave it feeling smooth as silk. Hand and foot massages complete the body’s renewal.

Limu (Seaweed) Body Masque - This warm limu wrap detoxifies and remineralizes the skin. Once your body is wrapped, you may close your eyes and relax as your scalp and feet are massaged. At the end, warm, moist towels softly remove the limu and you emerge with glowing skin.

Ki Pola Ho’olu – Cooling Ti Leaf Wrap - This calming, aromatic wrap begins with lavender infused aloe vera gel followed by an overlay of fresh ti leaves. The body is then wrapped to promote hydration while pressure points are stimulated on the face and scalp. Perfect for those “kissed” by the Hawaiian sun.

Hehi Lani – Royal Foot Treatment - In Hawaiian, hehi lani means “step into heaven”, and this journey begins with hot, moist eucalyptus towels wrapped around your feet, followed by aromatic exfoliation, a foot massage with rich moisturizing lotion, and a cool spritzing of essential oils as the rousing finale.

Tropical Bliss - Treatment includes exfoliation, full body massage, hydrating body massage, hydrating body wrap and scalp massage. Essential oils are mixed with herbs to exfoliate. Rich, aromatic balms are warmed and massaged onto the body. This intensely relaxing massage is followed by a hydrating wrap. An application of body moisturizer completes this treatment.

The “Spa After Hours” Experience - Indulge in the ultimate private spa experience. After closing, the spa will re-open its doors for your exclusive use. Upon arriving at the spa, our spa attendant will greet you with our signature pineapple tea service. While enjoying your tea, your personal therapist will sooth you with a relaxing neck and shoulder massage. Next, you’ll enjoy a 50 minute service of your choice. After the service, relax in our eucalyptus steam rooms and red cedar saunas. Your Spa After Hours experience concludes with light pupus and mesmerizing scalp massage. This two hour journey is offered at 7:30pm every evening and requires 48 hours advance booking.

Ocean View Cabana - Between shimmering pool and the sea, you may listen to the waves as a skilled therapist creates your own customized massage.

Garden Hale - Amidst lush gardens and cascading waterfalls, let yourself be guided into deep relaxation with diverse massage techniques.

Manele Custom Massage - A Swedish based massage tailored to your individual needs, with techniques drawn from a number of cultural traditions.

The 19th Hole – Golf Massage - After conquering "The Challenge at Manele" you deserve this therapeutic, relaxing and educational massage designed to target the muscles in the body most affected by your game. Includes stretching tips.

Lomi Lomi Massage - Like the island of its birth this uniquely Hawaiian massage is powerful yet gentle, invigorating and soothing. Primarily flowing and rhythmic is also nurtures the spirit, leaving the entire being relaxed and refreshed.

Aromatherapy Massage - This Swedish style massage is enhanced through the most concentrated use of herbal energy; essential oils. We use only the purest and most potent oils available from all parts of the world.

Sports Massage - A fusion of Swedish, compression, trigger point and stretching techniques to reduce soreness associated with sports activities or strenuous workouts. Recommended for those who receive regular bodywork.

Pohaku Wela Massage (hot stone) - Smooth stones are steamed and saturated in a custom blend of tropical oils then used to massage the muscles creating a deep sense of relaxation.

The Big Stretch - Your therapist assists you through a series of beneficial stretches designed to increase awareness and reduce stress levels. Specific points are massaged to release muscle tension. (A steam and/or sauna session is recommended prior to this treatment to prepare the muscles for stretching.)

Reflexology - This deeply relaxing foot massage brings relief from stress and tension and increases blood circulation by stimulating pressure points on the feet.

Tension Reliever - A concentrated massage focusing on the areas that often store stress; back, neck & shoulders.

Manele Bay Deluxe Facial - An in-depth facial with a specialty mask that purifies and nourishes your skin. Includes cleansing, toning, exfoliation, massage, masque and extractions.

He Makaki’i Kaiehu Facial (a mask that moistens) - A phenomenal facial that hastens healing and feeds nutrients, vitamins, and proteins to the tissues. The unique “aromaplasm" masque, with such ingredients as linseed powder, wheat germ, almond powder, sesame seeds, and hazelnut seeds, promotes hydration and cellular regeneration. Designed for all skin types.

Pohaku Lani Facial - This intensely relaxing facial uses the ancient practice of heated and cooled stones to massage the face, decollete, hands and feet. The warmth from the pohaku (stones) aids the product absorption process, leaving the skin richly hydrated and the mind and body rejuvenated. Includes cleansing, toning, extractions and mask.

Hydrating Cocktail Facial - This exhilarating cocktail for the face, rich in vitamins and minerals, deeply penetrates the epidermis and leaves the skin feeling extraordinarily soft and moisturized. Designed for dry, dehydrated skin. Includes scalp, face, neck and shoulder massage.
